Each year, Mr. Vertz is a broadcast presenter and author for Family Law Update, one of the most-watched family law education programs of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. He is a contributing author to Slicing the Pie: Equitable Distribution in Pennsylvania (PBI 2010), Business Valuation and Divorce (PBI 2009), Tax Consequences in Divorce (PBI 2005) and Drafting Marital Settlement Agreements (PBI 2008), as well as Family Law 101 (formerly Fundamentals of Family Law) (PBI 1994 – 2011) and many other CLE materials. Lawyers throughout Pennsylvania consult Mr. Vertz to discuss novel and difficult issues involving child support, executive compensation and business valuation. He was educated at the University of Michigan (BA 1988), the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (JD 1992), and the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business (MBA 1991).
