Pollock Begg

Brian C. Vertz is a partner in Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC. Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC is a Pittsburgh law firm with an outstanding reputation for service to its clients.

Big Firm Experience

Pollock Begg was formed in 2001 by lawyers who migrated from two major law firms, Reed Smith and Buchanan Ingersoll. Mr. Vertz and his senior partner, David S. Pollock, have worked together for over 20 years, first at a middle market firm and then at Reed Smith, before forming the boutique firm that eventually became Pollock Begg. In 2001, Mr. Pollock was joined by Todd M. Begg, Candice L. Komar and Daniel H. Glasser, the core of the family law practice from Buchanan Ingersoll. Pollock Begg has grown to become one of the largest family law practices in the entire state. We are rightfully proud of our associates, who have become leaders among their peers, and our paralegals and support staff. While individualized attention is always available to our clients, Pollock Begg offers a team of partners, associates and paralegals to provide efficient and cost-effective representation.

Boutique Firm Service and Expertise

Since its inception, Pollock Begg has dedicated its practice to family law and estate planning, including divorce, custody, support, property division, protection from abuse, adoption, juvenile matters, estate planning, and business succession.  Our lawyers concentrate all or almost all of their practice in family law. It is our mission to provide effective legal services that will enable our clients and their families to overcome the personal and financial challenges of divorce.  We attempt to resolve matters amicably if possible, and we litigate aggressively if settlement is not possible. The welfare of our clients’ children is our highest priority and abiding interest.  Our lawyers serve clients throughout Pennsylvania and in multi-state and international matters.

The principal attorneys in the firm actively lecture throughout Pennsylvania to associations and groups of lawyers, judges, court officials, certified public accountants, public accountants and tax practitioners on a variety of subjects, including spousal and child support, alimony pendente lite, alimony, equitable distribution, legal fees, income taxation of separation and divorce, divorce, prenuptial agreements, interrelationship with estate and trust plans, custody and adoption.
